Jisc OAIC Webinar Re-run- ‘HEFCE’s OA Requirements for REF’

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the last webinar on the same subject held in May, the webinar was re-ran to allow as many people as possible to engage with some of the issues featured. Both webinars were in response to HEFCE’s new policy for open access relating to future research assessments, and aimed to provide an opportunity for delegates to receive an overview of the policy and to pose questions and comments to HEFCE and Jisc directly. Presentations considered the implications of the policy on research and the assessment of research as well as what services, tools and guidance were available or were forthcoming to support institutions in the implementation of this policy. Underpinning all these considerations were what key issues would need to be addressed if full implementation is to be fully realised. Both the recording and the questions posed with answers formulated by presenters can be found below:
