E2EOA and LOCH – Open Access Technical Workshop

On the 4th April, the End-to-End OA and LOCH Pathfinder projects hosted a successful technical workshop in Glasgow looking at the functionality that’s offered by different systems for OA implementation. Short presentations and demos were given on how PURE, Converis, DSpace, EPrints, Hydra and Fedora, and Jisc Monitor support OA requirements.

Parallel breakout sessions focused on technical issues in PURE and in DSpace. A third session allowed delegates to explore non-technical aspects of OA, sharing experiences of new workflows and processes as well as best practice.  The day ended with presentations about CASRAI, SHERPA-REF, and Jisc Publications Router.

A summary of the key issues discussed during the workshop can be found here and the full report from the day (including a link to individual presentations) is here.
